Available Positions:

 

PURCHASING AGENT (Philadelphia location)

Purchasing agents are problem solvers with the ability to coordinate information, define problems and draw valid conclusions. You have the means and opportunity to raise our profits by making the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset. You should know how to evaluate market conditions and different suppliers. Communication skills will help you negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships. The goal is to acquire supplies that are critical for the success of our business operations.

Duties:

  • Execute and expedite purchase orders
  • Be the first line for filtering information from reports
  • Be able to create custom reports with minimal supervision and instruction
  • Work under Purchasing Manager’s direction to follow up on various tasks
  • Process vendor claims and returns
  • Prepare pricing services
  • Enter items and data for sales and maintain current product information
  • Maintain vendor information and files including electronic data filing
  • Expedite special order requests
  • Work toward developing and maintaining vendor relations

Position Requirements:

  • College education with a business degree preferred
  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and an ability to undertake financial analysis
  • Working knowledge of Access/multi-relational databases
  • Working understanding of logic as it applies to queries and report generation
  • Ability to stay on task with minimum supervision
  • Ability to take ownership of processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of distribution software preferred
  • Ability to learn distribution software with a minimal amount of instruction
  • Be highly analytical with the ability to recognize and track trends
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Ability to learn and put into practice professional purchasing procedures
  • A commitment to accuracy

DRIVER (Bristol Location)

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. A valid driver's license is required, but we will train you on all other aspects of the job. Starts at $15/hr with great medical benefits and paid time off. Ask about our signing bonus! This is a great way to get your foot in the door at our sales and distribution company that sells to professional commercial contractors in the tri-state are. Local driving only, Monday to Friday (no weekends).

Hours: M–F, Full Time, hours approx. 6am to 2pm.

Job description: Make deliveries in the tri-state area in a box truck or van, and help out as needed picking, pulling and packing in our distribution center.

Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Promote growth of new business and assist company to sustain existing business in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Load truck and make deliveries and pick-ups to assigned areas.
  • Operate equipment.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on company trucks and equipment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records.
  • Ensure deliveries are made on time and according to Roadnet Manifest.
  • Help out in our distribution center as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor.
  • Operate vehicle safely.
  • Keep vehicle clean and well maintained.
  • Work in all weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Valid state Class C Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain excellent attendance and customer service.
  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds.
  • Able to operate and transport equipment used in our business.
  • Able to secure loads and transport safely.

ASSISTANT LOGISTICS MANAGER (Bristol Location)

We are looking for an organized and motivated assistant logistics manager to join our facility in Bristol. The warehouse administrator will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The warehouse administrator will also package, scan, and prepare orders for delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and experienced in inventory software and databases. The warehouse administrator may operate heavy machinery or drive equipment. This person is also responsible for helping out in the office and providing back-up to our dispatcher.

Duties:

  • Warehouse: Sort, organize and put away inventory in the proper location. Pull inventory as needed for shipments.
  • General Office Duties: Answer phones; order office supplies; handle mail; filing.
  • Admin Support: Assist warehouse manager with paperwork and training.
  • Shipping: Create shipping documents and prepare items for shipment.
  • Inventory: Update logs and documentation for inventory processing
  • Dispatch: Be a back-up for our dispatch manager. Help maintain paperwork and logs relating to the fleet. Coordinate trucking deliveries.
  • Other duties as needed to help the team.

Requirements: A minimum 5 years of experience is required, along with demonstrated computer and organizational skills. Must also demonstrate good communication skills, maintain a strong work ethic, and display a positive attitude. In addition, sound written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team and the capacity to appropriately interact with all levels of management and staff, customers and other external business contacts are required. A valid driver’s license is required.

Compensation: Medical, dental and vision insurance benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, 401k and other benefits included. Signing bonus is an additional benefit.
