MECHANIC / TECHNICIAN (Southern NJ Location)

Diamond Tool is an equipment rental company, which is seeking technicians to join our team to diagnose and repair construction tools and equipment. We provide comprehensive training, above-average pay and excellent benefits. We invest in you by paying you to receive between 2 and 4 weeks training at various locations around the country.  Diamond Tool is a company where you can grow right along with us.  We have locations in Philadelphia and South Jersey, and we provide relocation money if you are not from the area.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate
  • Successful completion of  technical school and/or military training program in relevant area.
  • Experience repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment will  be considered in lieu of technical school degree
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Must satisfactorily complete written mechanical aptitude test

Responsibilities:

  • Perform  preventative maintenance and repairs on company-owned and customer equipment
  • Systematically diagnose equipment malfunctions to pinpoint problem and resolve issues
  • Maintain a safe, clean, productive and work area
  • Record labor times via computer and log maintenance performed on work orders

BRANCH MANAGER (Southern NJ Location)

As a Branch Manager, you’ll operate as a business leader and be responsible for coaching and building your team in a profit and loss environment. You determine the success of your branch by recruiting top talent with the ability to forecast staffing needs. In this role you will inspire, model and motivate through coaching and training to achieve a superior customer experience. The Branch Manager prioritizes, manages, and communicates promotional campaigns and product initiatives. Fosters a motivated, diverse team environment by setting employees up for success and establishing clear objectives for the branch and for each employee. Maintains and develops relationships with existing customers and creates new relationships. 

As a Branch Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Drive Revenue: Build and promote branch identity, drive sales/rentals/service revenue and promote overall ownership and accountability for improving customer service.
  • Create a Great Customer Service Environment: Ensure our customers are extremely satisfied with every interaction – make it memorable and the best part of their day.

INSIDE SALES ASSOCIATE (Southern NJ Location)

We are looking for a responsible and highly motivated Sales Associate who is ready to take on all sales responsibilities for our Southern NJ location. The Inside Sales Associate will assist customers with both sales and rental transactions. Our ideal candidate will deliver a professional presentation to customers, and uphold the ideals and standards of our company. The successful Sales Associate will constantly strive to meet all sales goals and exceed customer expectations.

No weekends, no evenings.

Job Description:  

  • Provide in-depth product knowledge, including features, benefits, and overall value.
  • Process quotes, sales orders, and rental orders.
  • Have product knowledge for the items we sell.
  • Answer customer questions and concerns.
  • Cross-sell and encourage beneficial product add-ons.
  • Upsell when appropriate; promote current sales, promotions, coupon deals, etc.
  • Process returns and exchanges.
  • Handle customer complaints in a calm and professional manner. 
  • Process and monitor "will call" and special orders and notify customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining store appearance.
  • Assist customers with loading.
  • You will be trained and tested on computer proficiency and product knowledge.

Requirements:  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm, persistence and a strong work ethic.
  • Possess the business and sales acumen to present Diamond Tool as a solution to the customers' needs (solution based selling and not price based selling).
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Ability to identify potential for sales at each account, and pass on leads for outside sales staff of Diamond Tool.
  • Work experience in sales or customer service.
  • Extensive experience using a PC.
  • Ability to problem-solve and deal with customer complaints.

Education Required: High school diplomas and/or GED.  College preferred. 

Years of Relevant Work Experience: At least 2 years relevant experience in sales.

RENTAL YARD ASSOCIATE (Philadelphia and Southern NJ Locations)

A Yard Associate maintains the cleanliness of the rental yard and keeps the equipment organized to minimize customer wait time. This position assists customers with equipment check-in, check-out and basic operation knowledge.

This is a great way to get your foot in the door at our company. Employees who are in this position have moved into sales, warehouse, management and other jobs within the company.

Responsibilities:

•    Oversees all activity in the yard area and ensures organization and order at all time

•    Ensures that customers pick-up and drop off equipment as per the contract

•    Ensures all equipment is secured prior to leaving

•    Communicate with immediate manager and counter personnel on damages or missing parts upon return of equipment

•    Check fuel levels and metered hours on equipment upon check in for billing purpose

•    Stage and clean up equipment for delivery

•    Ensures all equipment is properly tagged and has required key

•    Operates all equipment safely

•   Performs basic maintenance on various construction equipment

•    Utilizes applicable PPE

•    Report safety violations to supervisor

•    Other duties as assigned by management

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

•    Time management skills: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

•    Must be customer service oriented

•    Must have strong listening and problem solving skills

•    Strong team player with the ability to work independently as needed

•    Valid State issued driver’s license

•    Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent experience

DELIVERY DRIVER – CLASS A DRIVER (Southern NJ Location)

Hours: M-F, starting at 6am sharp every day

Job description:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service.

  • Promote growth of new business and assist company to sustain existing business in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Load truck and make deliveries and pick-ups to assigned areas.

  • Operate equipment.

  • Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on company trucks and equipment.

  •  Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records.

  • Ensure deliveries are made on time and according to Roadnet Manifest.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisor.

  • Operate vehicle safely.

  • Keep vehicle clean and well maintained.

  • Work in all weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Prefer prior experience with equipment hauling.

  • High school degree or equivalent.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

  • Valid state Class A Driver’s License.

  • Demonstrate ability to maintain excellent attendance and customer service.

  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds.

  • Able to operate and transport equipment used in our business.

  • Able to secure loads and transport safely.
