5/16" Dia X 4 1/2" Black Oxide Finish General purpose Jobber Length Drill Bit with straight shank is made of high-speed steel that provides long durability when drilling hard materials. Drill bit with 3 3/16" spiral flute has a 118 deg conventional point for general-purpose drilling applications. It is suitable for drilling cast iron, steel and steel forging and ideal for most general-purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Black oxide treatment increases the lubrication and creates small pockets on the surface that helps to hold the coolant near cutting edge. Spiral fluted tool eliminates chip and reduces clogging. It conforms to ANSI specifications.
