Course: Fall Protection Training
Duration: 2 Hours
Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
Fall protection is a mandatory training topic per OSHA 1926.502(a)(1) for “each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards”. This course is an important overview of applicable OSHA regulations. Attendees will be trained to:
- Properly wear, install, maintain and visually inspect personal fall arrest equipment
- Identify workplace fall hazards
- Learn basic fall protection principles

Post fall recovery is a key safety issue mandated by OSHA. “The employer shall provide for prompt rescue of employees in the event of a fall or shall assure the self-rescue capability of employees”. This course introduces participants to industrial rescue methods, emphasizing a planned approach to rescue, and is custom designed to the employers post fall recovery written plan.

Course covers mandatory instruction required per 29 CFR 1910.178. This course uses classroom and video instruction along with hands-on operator’s instruction and operator performance evaluation to illustrates proper forklift safety and handling techniques. Training will include:

Course: Qualified Signal Person & Qualified Rigger Training

New OSHA regulation effective November 8, 2010: “Cranes And Derricks In Constructin”, mandates specific training certifications for all crane operations.
When is a signal person required? A signal person is required when:
- The point of operation is not in full view of the operator (1926.1419(a))
- The operator‘s view is obstructed in the direction the equipment is traveling
- Either the operator or the person handling the load determines that a signal person is needed because of site-specific safety concerns
When is a qualified rigger required?
- Employers must use qualified riggers during hoisting activities for assembly and disassembly work (1926.1404(r)(1)).
- Adiditionally, qualified riggers are required whenever workers are withing the fall zone and hooking, unhooking, or guiding a load, or doing the initial connection of a load to a component or structure (1926.1425(c))
Course: Aerial Boom & Scissor Lift Training

This course covers mandatory training per 1926.453 for the operation of Aerial Work Platforms, Articulating Booms, Telescopic Booms and Trailer Mounted Booms. Using classroom discussion, video instruction and hands-on operator performance evaluation. Training will include:

Course: Confined Space Training
Duration: 2 Hours
Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
This course will focus on the specific requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 (a) through (l). It provides an overview for all workers assigned to areas in or around confined spaces. Designed to enable attendees to recognize, evaluate, control, and abate safety and health hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry. It will cover General Industry and Construction OSHA requirements for Permit and Non-Permit required confined spaces. Tailored to atmospheric conditions, gas detection, rescue systems, signage requirements, ventilation procedures, and responsibility of attendants. Training will include:

Trainees will develop necessary knowledge and skills to comply with OSHA 1910.146.(g)(h)(i) and (k). This course will be customized to meet the requirements of the client’s Confined Space Plan. Attendees will have hands on training! They will also be required to perform mock rescues form both horizontal and vertical confined spaces. Training will include:
- Proper response to blood & bodily fluids
- Use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
- Administration of First Aid / CPR on scaffolding and other areas
- Recognition & response to situations such as: Electrocutions, Drug overdose, Heat-related illnesses, Collapse, Heart attack

Course: Hearing Protection Training
Duration: 1 Hour
Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
As required in 29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1) and (2): “The employer shall train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibles”. This course is designed as a part of hearing conservation program for all employees who are exposed to hazardous noise on the job. Information provided in the training program shall be updated to be consistent with trainee’s protective equipment and work process.

Course covers mandatory instruction required by OSHA 1926.103(c)(1) and 1910.134(k)(5). Attendees will receive training on how to properly conduct qualitative fit tests. The program includes an introduction to the different types of respirators available.

Course: OSHA Guardrail Rigging & Construction Training
Duration: 1 Hour
Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
Course will cover applicable OSHA regulations, installation procedures and minimum requirements. Training will include information on different types of guardrails including vertical guardrail nets and wire rope systems. Special attention will focus on:

Course: Scaffold Training - Supported or Swing Stage

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
Course covers mandatory training required under 1926.454(a) for “each employee who performs work while on a scaffold”. Class topics inspections & tagging procedures, common causes of accidents, proper planning, and conducting safe operations while working on scaffolds. Training will include:

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
HAZCOM training is mandatory by OSHA per 1910.1200(h) and 1926(h)(2)(i) through (iv) also known as “Right to Know Law”. Provides important health and safety information on hazardous substances in the work area. Training will include:
- Physical and health hazards of chemicals in the work area
- Methods and observations used to detect presence or release of hazardous chemicals
- Measure employees can take to protect themselves
- Specific details of the employer’s hazard communication program
- Use of labeling systems
- Use of material safety data sheets (MSDS)

Course: Lockout-Tagout Training
Duration: 2 Hours
Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
Course is taught to comply with OSHA 1910.147 and features how to identify and evaluate the various types of energy sources in the workplace. The training will develop safer work practices through including employer responsibilities, documentation, terminology, definitions and equipment solutions for the safe lockout, tagout or blocking of equipment and energy sources.
