Course: Fall Protection Training

Duration: 2 Hours

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
Fall protection is a mandatory training topic per OSHA 1926.502(a)(1) for “each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards”. This course is an important overview of applicable OSHA regulations. Attendees will be trained to:

Properly wear, install, maintain and visually inspect personal fall arrest equipment

Course: Fall Protection Rescue Training

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.

Post fall recovery is a key safety issue mandated by OSHA. “The employer shall provide for prompt rescue of employees in the event of a fall or shall assure the self-rescue capability of employees”. This course introduces participants to industrial rescue methods, emphasizing a planned approach to rescue, and is custom designed to the employers post fall recovery written plan.

Course: Forklift Training – “Powered Industrial Trucks”

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
Course covers mandatory instruction required per 29 CFR 1910.178. This course uses classroom and video instruction along with hands-on operator’s instruction and operator performance evaluation to illustrates proper forklift safety and handling techniques. Training will include:

Course: Qualified Signal Person & Qualified Rigger Training

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
New OSHA regulation effective November 8, 2010: “Cranes And Derricks In Constructin”, mandates specific training certifications for all crane operations.
When is a signal person required? A signal person is required when:

The point of operation is not in full view of the operator (1926.1419(a))
The operator‘s view is obstructed in the direction the equipment is traveling
Either the operator or the person handling the load determines that a signal person is needed because of site-specific safety concerns

When is a qualified rigger required?

Employers must use qualified riggers during hoisting activities for assembly and disassembly work (1926.1404(r)(1)).
Adiditionally, qualified riggers are required whenever workers are withing the fall zone and hooking, unhooking, or guiding a load, or doing the initial connection of a load to a component or structure (1926.1425(c))

Course: Aerial Boom & Scissor Lift Training

Course: Confined Space Training

Duration: 2 Hours

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
This course will focus on the specific requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 (a) through (l). It provides an overview for all workers assigned to areas in or around confined spaces. Designed to enable attendees to recognize, evaluate, control, and abate safety and health hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry. It will cover General Industry and Construction OSHA requirements for Permit and Non-Permit required confined spaces. Tailored to atmospheric conditions, gas detection, rescue systems, signage requirements, ventilation procedures, and responsibility of attendants. Training will include:

Course: Hearing Protection Training

Course Description: Course includes trainee certification cards and literature.
As required in 29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1) and (2): “The employer shall train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibles”. This course is designed as a part of hearing conservation program for all employees who are exposed to hazardous noise on the job. Information provided in the training program shall be updated to be consistent with trainee’s protective equipment and work process.
